Teamviewer Password Blank
When I Load up the latest team viewer it says Your ID Password: Both of them are blank and at the end it has a - symbol. Anyone know why? I need teamviewer to work fast. 10 PTS to fixing answer. When the application launches you will see two numbers, an ID and a password. The ID is unique to your computer, but the password is randomly generated each time. Provide your ID and Password to the HSU technician currently assisting you. They will be able to see your screen and have temporary control in order to help with any problems you. Locate the Teamviewer 8 Host icon on the desktop. If you do not find it there, then click the Start Menu and look for it there. If you do not find it in the Start Menu, then go to where the clock is. Look for the little up-arrow that hides notification icons. Click that up arrow and look for a miniature version of the Teamviewer icon to be there. Open TeamViewer, then hover over the default random password number. You will see a faint circular arrow to the left of the number (shown below). Go ahead and click this arrow. You should then click 'Set personal password'.

On Windows:
- Open Teamviewer (DO NOT CLICK ON THE TEAMVIEWER ICON ON YOUR DESKTOP). Right click the Teamviewer icon in your systray (the systray is the group of icons on the bottom right hand corner of your computer near the clock). You may have to click on the up arrow near the clock if you do not see the Teamviewer icon.
- After right clicking, left click on options.
- Click on security on the left hand side.
- Enter the new password in both boxes that say “Password” and “Confirm password”.
- Please email us the new password.

- “Right click” on the Teamviewer icon at the top right of your Mac (by the clock) by holding down the control key on your keyboard while clicking on it.
- Click on preferences.
- Click on security on the left hand side.
